A Small Voice in a Shouting World

John 1: 4-5

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

It means:

True life is in Jesus. the purpose of the life in Jesus was to be the light for men to see the truth rather than the world and carnal ways. The light (Jesus) shines in darkness it isn’t hidden but the world (darkness) sees it but does not or cannot understand it.

Listen: What is light? A way to see in the dark so you won’t trip or stumble or fall. A way to see the measure of some distance depending on the strength of the light. Perhaps the stronger the light of Jesus is in us, the further we can see in front of us, that is, the clearer our path will be. What does comprehend mean? To understand-agreed on, assumed. The world does not agree with the light nor does it clothe itself in it. It does not like the light.

Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to see that Jesus is the light. In His name we pray.
