A Small Voice in a Shouting World

John 1:9

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

It means:

The light, the way to see the truth, the light that all men are given to be blessed by was coming physically into the world.

Listen:

Every single person needs the true light of Jesus. There are false lights that are in the world that give false or temporary light, but Jesus is the only true light. He is the only true way for every single person to have light. He is the way to see in the dark, so we don’t grope around in a blindness not knowing what is real, not knowing the dangers in front of us, and not seeing a refuge or shelter. Through Jesus, every man can have the light to shine for himself and others for the Glory of God.

Before I had decided to die to myself and make Jesus my master, I was experiencing great darkness. I was confused and afraid. I wrote the following lyrics during that time and it reminds me of what it was like living a life without Jesus. The song is called, The Dark:

“And what’s real? I need to know how to feel. Tell me how I should feel now in this game. I’m here in the dark, groping all around, but I can’t hear a sound in this maze.”

Thank You, Jesus, that Your Word cleansed me and brought me out of that darkness. Thank you for calling me out of the dungeon and into the light. I pray for others who are in the dark to find You and experience Your Light and the joy and peace that You have given me and want to give to everyone.
