A Small Voice in a Shouting World

John 1:16-18

Indeed, we have all received grace upon grace from His fullness, for the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. The one and only Son, who is Himself God and is at the Father’s side-He has revealed Him.

Even though we don’t see God the Father, we can know Him by Jesus. Jesus is King and through Him we receive favor and mercy and blessings, having nothing to do with what we deserve and everything to do with the fullness of God’s love and mercy for us. He not only saves those who receive Him from punishment-wrath-death-, he bestows gifts and blessings on us. Moses brought the law that is impossible to uphold, but Jesus brought grace that makes it possible for us to resist sin and temptation. Jesus’ grace is how we are free from sinning against the law. Without the grace of Jesus, we would not be able to resist sin. Allow Jesus’ grace to cover you and work in your life. Choose to obey and then the grace covers you and keeps you out of sin! He helps us transform daily by the power of God himself! Jesus who knows the Father intimately, came here to also know us and make known the Father so we can accept and understand better the way of our magnificent Father. It was highly important to God to make Himself better known and understood to us, so important that He sent Jesus here to be a man so He could translate who God is to us and to unite us back to God. Praise Him!

Pray for further understanding or clarification by the power of the Holy Spirit. Always pray about everything so that the gift of discernment can be upon you to distinguish between truth and lies.

Dear Lord, Please help us to understand that although we are human and prone to sin, we can keep ourselves pure by the power of the Holy Spirit and turn away from sin and separate ourselves from the worldly ways because of Your grace that upholds us in righteousness. Please help us not to give into sin because we are “born as sinners” or because “our nature is made to sin”. Help us know that we are a new creation through Your son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
